Law Enforcement and Communities

Not data only about crimes, but rather data about the activity of policing, and interactions with citizens. The Open Data and Policing effort includes departments identifying, and working with key stakeholders, including advocates, community members, police unions, researchers, and others, to enable the release of data sets to the public in a way that achieves increased transparency, while respecting legal and privacy boundaries.

This page highlights datasets on policing published by agencies collaborating in this way.
